The touchpad began to work decently.
With multiple X sessions opened, after switching from one to another, the
pointer becomes responsive in less than 5 seconds.

Hey everybody

The problem I'm experiencing has been present since ubuntu 11.04 up to 12.04
beta2
the thing is that sometimes - out of nowhere (completely random. seems not
related
my theory is that it is related to syndaemon disabling the touchpad, because:
1. touchpad operation can be resumed by synclient and xinput cli tools
2. rmmod psmouse modprobe psmouse also works, but likely because that
reloads the synaptics driver
3. gpm driver continues to work in a console
Hi, im having the same issue, issually happends after resume from
suspend. Really annoying problem.. for me the only option so far is
rebooting.

mouse pointer (of my Acer's AS3810T Synaptics touchpad) freezes every time I do
the following things:
1) select Switch from user... (in GNOME fallback session, from the session
menu);
2) at the LightDM screen I log in another user (e. g. Guest);
mouse cursor works in that another user session,
In my case, touchpad hangup occurs in Precise more often than in Oneiric, Natty
etc.
Interestingly, it unfreezes after suspend resume.

I experience the same on my laptop. But I think it's related to suspend.
Can usually suspend without problems, but then after one or several
suspends, it stops working.
When it stops working, buttons still work.

I can add that this happens on one of my laptops, but never on the other
(netbook). So I'm guessing it's hardware spesific.

my model (3810t) can not suspend on ubuntu for years.
it's a bug that hadn't been fixed for many versions.
if I suspend my computer it suspends but it doesn't resume out of suspend.
my computer shuts down instead of quitting suspend.
