my theory is that it is related to syndaemon disabling the touchpad, because: 1. touchpad operation can be resumed by synclient and xinput cli tools 2. rmmod psmouse modprobe psmouse also works, but likely because that reloads the synaptics driver 3. gpm driver continues to work in a console

hey julenissen. which model of acer do you have? my model (3810t) can not suspend on ubuntu for years. it's a bug that hadn't been fixed for many versions. if I suspend my computer it suspends but it doesn't resume out of suspend. my computer shuts down instead of quitting suspend. -- You
