Error was gone again (not sure what caused it going away) and returned right after upgrading kernel to 3.2.0-26-generic-pae. So it definitely also depends on kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubu

I have installed a new machine with same hardware - again this error appears. On a different machine with same hardware the error does not occur any more. Strange. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu

In my case apport only wants to do a crash report only on reboot - but not on relogin. Is it possible that the problem is related to startup order of devices/services during boot? And apart from that I think that my problem is different from the original as for me it still seems to be a "fake" c

Is there a chance to see the cause of the crash. All I get is /usr/share/apport/apport-gpu-error-intel.py which is called for generating the crash report. But I would rather like to know what is initially causing the system to think that there was a crash (GPU lockup)? -- You received this bug n

Unfortunately it is not a one-time-occurrence - happens even on cold boot a few seconds after login. I have a deja vu that we had that problem already with a previous Ubuntu version where it got fixed. Interestingly although I had several crashes right after boot with the beta version also, this

I did a fresh 12.04 install of the release erasing previous beta install and got the error on first reboot after installation - although no gpu lockup seen. I also have an Intel graphic card. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserve

Hi vijaikumar, Sorry to hear you got a gpu freeze on your first ubuntu update experience, that really sucks. We do have some troubles with gpu lockups in certain circumstances, and are working on investigating them as a high priority. Unfortunately in this particular case apport didn't collect a
