The system: locks up, disables the screen permanently (allowing reboot
by ssh), restarts X with no user action or causes random applications
(most likely: Firefox) to crash. Sometimes visual artifacts can be seen
such as colorful bands. Also, a kernel panic sometimes occurs, with
lines mentioning kernel DRM subsystem. Looks like an Intel graphics
driver issue.
