This bug report lacks a lot of informations, for example the ubuntu
release, the scribus version, steps to reproduce the issues, etc, etc...
Please run `apport-collect 1198994` in a machine where you can reproduce
it and the steps to reproduce it.

on Ubuntu nor Debian.
Furthermore I'm unable to reproduce this with all my files, and they are full

I would say this is not a problem anymore and you can close the bug.
But I have to say that I stop using scribus from ubuntu repositories
long time ago because of this problem and because the package was and
still is outdated.
So instead, I have used an up-to-date package from the repository
No worries, I'll be happy to come back to ubuntu's package if it keeps
up-to-date

This is now fixed, at list by the last upload where I updated the
Standard-Version to 3.9.5. With this revision packages could relay on a dpkg
trigger which integrates the changes to /usr/share/mime/packages.
See the Debian policy section 9.7:

assure 1.4.4 will be in utopic, but it won't be in trusty, for
example...

yes, there are exception, Firefox, chromium, libreoffice, and a some
other packages can be updated to new upstream releases
