in Ubuntu 15.04 arecord seems not to work as expected:
arecord -d5 -Dhw:1 -twav -r44100 -fS32_LE -c2 /tmp/msplaysweep.wav
this is supposed to stop after 5 seconds but instead runs forever creaeting
continously new files in /tmp. This is 100% reproducib
