On my desktop after a lot of new updates the sound level is NOT reset at
reboot.
I see pipewire and pulseaudio are both installed but i don't know if
they are active.

how can i tell if i have pulseaudio and pipewire activated?

of Jammy.
but NOT disappeared on my laptop also updated today.

I did some tests by changing the volume and inserting and removing the
headphones but I don't see anything in the journalctl.

Sorry, the problem comes from BIOS settings on my HP 250, the bios was set to
capture function keys and not pass them to the application. Changed BIOS
settings solved the problem.

repository I find gimp-help only for 2.8.2

I have done other tests, the problem seems gimp does not capture
function keys, also with f1 I have the Ubuntu desktop guide while if

On Ubuntu 17.10 I installed gimp using Ubuntu Software. Gimp (2.8.22
according help-about) has been installed in snapd with many error
messages (failed to read from snapd, failed to write to snapd...) but it
works.
