May I suggest that, at least until the wx bugs are fixed, that the Audacity packages in the repository be replaced with the ones from comment 6? Those work perfectly, the ones in the official repo are unusable. That's quite a topsy-turvy situation that should be addressed. ** Also affects: ubuntus
