In some situations, the en_US.UTF-8 locale is not available (e.g. the
user does not have it installed).
Make a new option in the configuration for the user to specify an
alternative.

I've made several patches (most of which was to delete the patches
that came with the default fltk 1.1.7 buildroot 'package' directory -
they no longer apply).
Anyway I finally got the package to compile, but the linker complains:

this is the uClibc list, not buildroot.
