Hi Roy, I am a developer on Sigma Designs SMP8634 platform. Technically speaking, it doesn't run uCLinux as it has MMU. It runs a main line kernel with Sigma Designs' patch. To compile a new kernel, you need MIPS cross compilation tool and Sigma Designs' patch. It is included in Sigma Designs

I believe I have found and fixed the bug. It was an incorrect config option in ixp425_eth.c. The original code used the define CONFIG_ARCH_IXDPG425, but the config that is set in the kernel option for the Montejade platform is CONFIG_MACH_IXDPG425. Attached is a patch. I'm still testing this,
