I am a developer on Sigma Designs SMP8634 platform. Technically
speaking, it doesn't run uCLinux as it has MMU. It runs a main line
kernel with Sigma Designs' patch.
To compile a new kernel, you need MIPS cross compilation tool and
Sigma Designs' patch. It is included in Sigma Designs
