The site that you quoted has commercial support from ARM. I've used those compilers in the past to do some bare-metal OS work. So, I'm pretty certain the builds provided do work correctly for their respective platform. But, I'm not a Windows developer. The closest I get to working in a Windows environment is Cygwin. I would never try to run the GCC natively in Windows as that is technically trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Sure it can be done but why? Use the tools that make your life easier. Therefore, doing debugging of uCLinux apps and/or kernel in a Windows environment is probably going to give you difficulty as you are starting to see. Good luck with your endeavor. -brad w.
