Hi all, I want to port uclinux 2.6.x to my lpc22xx board. But during the process, I have come across several questions. I hope someone can help me out~
First, some specs about my board: LPC2210 ARM7TDMI-S 60MHz RAM 8MB NOR Flash 2MB NAND Flash 16MB 1. The lable on my chip says LPC2210, is it a lpc22xx series or lpc2200 series? Because I see these two different choices in kernel. I just want to make sure. 2. I have read a HOWTO (HOWTO uClinux 2.6.21 on LPC22XX / LPC2468 http://readlist.com/lists/uclinux.org/uclinux-dev/1/5648.html ). And in that tutorial, there are patches for lpc2468 but not for lpc22xx. Does that mean it is not necessary to patch the kernel and uclinux for lpc22xx? 3. If I must patch the kernel and the uclinux, which kernel version and uclinux version should I use? And where to get the patch? I serched the google and found the latest patch for lpc22xx is for kernel linux-2.6.11.8-hsc0. And a tuttorial by NXP uses uclinux 20040408. Will that work? 4. How can I debug the newly built kernel image? I have once built a kernel 2.6.19 (maybe) with default settings which was shipped along with uclinux-20070130. But when I tried to boot, it hung without any information. I used serial port (com1) to connect to the board. I just wanted to know what caused the failure. Many thanks! hammerol
