I have a sparc system at my disposal and need to have both
solaris(10/nevada) and linux environment (preferrably kernel 2.6.x) on
it.
Are there any possibilities?
IIRC, Lx brand is only for x86/x64 systems. Vbox and VMware are again
for x86/x64 line.

Shiv,
It appears to me that openvz is only for T1 processors. It may not
support earlier platforms.
I don't think there exists a easy to use/free solution for running linux
on older sparc h/w.

LDoms is probably only for Niagara/Rock line of processors. What I
have is a V440/V480 (UltraSPARC IIIi) which is relatively an older
platform.

LDOMs is only for Niagara based servers; Not for US-IIIi ones.
