I think its abominable that people are still violating/desecrating the graves of our ancient ancestors...as in this recent incident in Egypt just south of Cairo. However since they have disinterred this mummy, I can find one unintended positive thing about the act. Note that the facial features of the deceased, which are expertly painted, are extremely dark and clearly demonstrates once again that Egypt was an African, that is a "black" society. Since the rest of the mummy casing is brightly colored in many different pigments, it is clear that the artist had the option of using a wide range of colors including white, if these colors would have been a better representation of the person's features. Nevertheless, despite this and literally tons of other archaeological evidence, the great preponderance of "western" scholars still attempt to maintain the fiction that Egyptians were white. Indeed, so-called ethnographers even insist that modern day Ethiopians are Caucasians....
