Peter Biro/IRC One year on, the humanitarian crisis brought about by the
worst flooding in Pakistan's history is far from over. With another monsoon
season underway, the IRC is continuing to provide relief and helping hard
hit communities to rebuild vital infrastructure and kick-start their local
economies. *How We Help* In the wake of the 2010 floods, the IRC's
aid directly supported close to a million Pakistanis. See the impact of our
work, made possible by generous IRC donors.

On July 9 the IRC's Sophia Jones-Mwangi and Pasquale Ongwen joined a joyous
crowd of tens of thousands in Juba as the Republic of South Sudan became an
independent country. "It's history and I am here to see it happening," said
proud new citizen Pasquale.
