Prof. Mukiibi declines PSC job
PROF. Joseph Mukiibi has turned down his appointment as a member to the Public Service Commission (PSC), writes Vision Reporter.
President Yoweri Museveni last week nominated Mukiibi, a former National Agriculture Research Organisation chief, as one of the four members of the PSC.
In a letter dated July 28 and copied to the public service minister, the Speaker of Parliament and the Clerk to Parliament, Mukiibi said the appointment coincided with a consultation work he had signed with some international firm.
He said serving as a member of the PSC needs a lot of time and commitment, a task which would contradict with and jeopardise his consultation work.
