All,

As a follow up to my session at last weeks UKNOF event, I'd like to invite
anyone who hasn't yet registered to come along to the next meeting being held
by LINX in Edinburgh on the 13th of May. This event is open to non-LINX
members so if you are at all interested in the developments in Scotland please
register.

Register online at:
https://www.linx.net/events/regional/Scotland/M2/Scotland.html See below
John's announcement to the LINX member list (x-posted with permission):

We are holding a follow-up event on Monday 13th May 2013, also in Edinburgh.

Registration for the second event is open, and you can register here:

As I said at the first event, starting an IXP in Scotland seems quite
straightforward, as we have an 'obvious' venue, and potentially a
start-up critical mass of network operators.

We'd now like to confirm that there are existing and potential new LINX
members willing and keen to connect to an IXP hosted at the Pulsant
South Gyle data centre (which used to be called "Scolocate").

So please either attend the meeting, or send an indication to me that
you are up for this. Please encourage other network operators to do the
same.

This is not a closed meeting, but I would like network operators to use
it to show their enthusiasm for the proposed IXP. I'm sure there will
be other things of mutual interest to talk about.

Agenda is TBC, however at this stage we are trying to gather as much interest
in the project as possible. Spread the word!
