Hi folks,
In $dayjob I've got the guts of one of my older recently decommissioned UK
sites for disposal - it's primarily server hardware, average age something
around 7-8 years, mostly SMC "FatTwins" that were high spec when new, plus
other things of similar vintage.

Hi folks,
Can anyone recommend a UK (or EU-based) Leviton fibre supplier that is
likely to hold some stock?
I'm specifically looking for 3x Leviton 2000I HDX, P/N 5R1UH-S08, and
probably on 24-48 hour turnround.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi all,
I need to get some MTP8 cables - 10M & 12M lengths, Method B, in a fair hurry.
Normally all my stock is shipped ex-US so I don't know much in the way of local
suppliers.
Can someone suggest who can help out with this?
Cheers,
Mike

The ejection handle releases a latch that is about 40% down the optic body,
that locks the module into the card cage.

Hi lovely UKNOF folks...
The heavy-handed remote hands people in a colo that shall remain nameless
managed to snap off an ejection handle from a 100G CFP2 optic module, so
the optic now can't be removed from the device in a normal way of rotating
the ejection handle then pulling on the optic body.
Hi folks,
I'm currently looking for an ex-stock supply of 100G-SR10 CFP2 (that will
work in Brocade MLXe) shipping either from the UK or EU and available to
ship in the next few days.
I checked Flexoptix and they don't seem to carry these as a standard item.
I need 8.

Hi all,
Wondered if anyone had an experience with interop between Brocade 100G LR4
interfaces and Ciena 6500 DWDM gear (specifically the 100G WL3e C-band LR

Any gotchas or known issues to report?
The Ciena gear isn't under my control, it's carrier equipment.

Hi folks,
Now people are staying to drift back as the Great British Summer is drawing

Hi folks,
I wondered if anyone had anything good/bad to say about B-612 (

Greetings UKNOF folks...
I'm after some of those lightweight "corrugated cardboard" (can't think of

Want to give these a go, but keep coming up on metal blanking plates.

All,
Please find the CFP for the upcoming RIPE 70 Meeting Plenary session below.
Note the initial submission deadline of 1st March 2015. Anything received

Hi folks,
Has anyone got a tame contact at Level 3 who is aware of and comfortable
with the former Fibrenet network?
In $dayjob, I need to do some changes made on some old Fibrenet dark fibre,

Hi folks,
$client is having issues with Geoloc for their customers when they try to
access ITV player.
They feel like they've hit a bit of an impasse with ITV's own helpdesk
(seems to be outsourced to Accenture). Need to try and get further up the
tree.
Anyone got any contacts that can help?

Hi folks,
Currently looking for someone from Vodafone Carrier Services that knows
about the implementation of raw p-t-p ethernet services provided over the

Trying to help a customer debug a problem, would be helpful to get some

Haven't used the Delta3 racks myself, but have sworn by the Cooper B-Line

available in a mind-boggling range of configurations, and don't have
annoying corner posts.
