You don't have to extract anything manually.
The driverpacks installer uses a batch file _similar_ to the one found here:
http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/59/
that it runs after the textmode part of setup, but before the gui mode
of setup. This expands all the drivers from the 7
you need:
[Data]
AutoPartition=1
[Unattended]
Repartition=yes
in your unattended file.

It is in the OEM\bin\DPsFnshr.7z as a compressed file, I am not sure but to
be on the safe side I have unpacked it lower casified and changed the
permissions to match the rest of the directory
