Hi , I had some similar problems installing XP on a dell d630.
The problem was related to the SATA operation in the bios set to ATA or
UHCI.
I could only boot linux in UHCI mode - and only install XP in ATA mode.
The solution that I used was to use UHCI and to use driver packs from

On a d620 - all is perfectly fine.

I am using PXE boot, with the unattended-gui boot disk but am having some
problems.
Originally - I had the normal unattended distribution mounted as my z drive.
However on boot, I got the error "/z/bin/init.sh not found"
So I downloaded and mounted the unattended-gui z drive instead:
/z/
+---bin

Hi Eric,
I'm new to unattended also but have a partially working setup using PXE.
Next steps that you may need are:
1. edit pxelinux.cfg/default to specify the correct z path (you may already
of done this)
e.g something like append
initrd=ua-0.5.rootz_path=\\192.168.128.75\install z_user=guest z
need the correct drivers, which u seem to lack

Since there is no WINS server available, I've primed the net\lmhosts

Hi
This maybe a bit of a newbie question, but I am having much trouble getting
Unattended working.
I have setup a DHCP and TFTP server as per this post:
http://www.mail-archive.com/unattended-info@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00521.html
(tried with both tftfd32 and DHCP Turbo)
The target machine perf
