Re context: You may not be aware of this, but when replying to a message, many newsreaders allow you to include the text to which you are replying. For example, in this message, your text appears above, preceded with > symbols to indicate that it's a quote. One can also edit the original comments down for brevity. You have probably seen this in previous messages on this list. Practices such as these preserve the context of the message, and help readers to follow the chain of discussion.


This can be very important. For example, when I receive an email that merely says "IDIOT! You just don't get it, do you?" without any context, I'm likely to assume that the note was from a demented, hysterical doofus who felt a need to spam me with random, Tourette's-like screamings.

I also disagree with your */_assumptions _/*about marijuana, since I do have some "medical" background.

I have a medical background too. I've been a patient. (Not about marijuana, however. Broken arms.)
