Hi.
We used and were happy with Bartlett's. This is not a local company, but
rather a regional one and therefore it may cost a bit more. This is
worthwhile, as the staff is led by certified arborists and and horticulturists
- this means they KNOW trees rather than know shredders and chain
I checked the archives and Close at Hand, but I could not find a shoe repair
place. The one on Lancaster near Market Street seems out of business. Does
anyone know where there is a shoe repair place?

Hi everyone,
There is Cliff's it is small on 40th between Chestnut and Sansom. They repair
shoes and bag, add heals and taps (for those of us who are old) They also
polish in the store while you wait or drop off. They are great as an Old
School Cobblers as for Jerry or Cliff they are
I have been using Luke's Imperial Shoe Service, 257 S. 60th Street, since the
shoemaker off Lancaster Avenue closed. The phone number is 215-472-2568 They
are closed Mondays. I have found the work good and the cost reasonable.
I also used Capa when I worked in town and they did a good job.
The shoeshines are great, too.
