I can't believe I'm doing this (but since I have been feeling pretty active
on this list lately)....I agree with you Al. (Ack!)

I want your honest opinions where money should come from, how much, who's
wiling to help (non-financially) with the physical part, and what should be
included if we decided to completely get a do-over for the BID/NID.

You didn't answer my 4 questions, Al. You just asked the same as I. And
maybe created a few other detailed questions.

Mike, please stick to the poems, when you speak you sound like Glenn --("
obfuscate") and it's not becoming. However, I do agree with the greed and
ego part. Might I add power?

It's because of Al's big secret -- he doesn't actually want a free and
open debate about the BID. What he wants is to obfuscate the issue with
enough vindictive rhetoric that anyone trying to actually form a reasoned
opinion about the topic can't, like a squid frantically filling the waters
with ink churning its flailing tentacles so nobody can pin it down.

Greed and ego drives men to do terrible things.

"You-know-who?" Voldemort? Yes, I know you are talking about Melani.

Happy Harry Potter Day to those who like him and the movies.

Scare monger is a mean term to describe you Al, and I apologize for using
it. But it seems that anytime I want to engage in a civil discussion with
you (or with the list) you must chime in to discourage chat about it,
because it's "DEAD". Right?

You made an excellent point with Elvis. He's dead (as far as we know and I
believe) and yet people still talk about him. So why can't I talk about a
dead topic, and really ask what the community wants? Why can't we have a
"Improvement Organization" where the $ is based on non-profit status, and we
don't use any of the other organizations (non profit or otherwise)? Ok, so
some people don't like the UCD, Penn, FoCP, or some other organization (or
individual people). Is there a reason why you don't want the neighborhood
improved with better lighting, cleaner streets and sidewalks, or better
safety/security? Just think of the concept of that and only that and try to
answer my 4 questions...they really aren't that hard (and you can't be
wrong!).
