Greetings Neighbors,

Ensemble La Bernardinia, will present a program entitled "Ratatouille" A unique blend of 17th and 18th century music from the British Isles, the German Lands, the French Empire, and Baroque Italy with works for recorder, viola da gamba, and harpsichord.

La Bernardinia Baroque Ensemble is one of the most recent additions to Philadelphia's vibrant early music scene. Performing on copies of period instruments, the group specializes in chamber music from 1600-1750 presenting engaging programs with an intimate and rich sonority. While the core ensemble consists of Rainer Beckmann, recorder; Donna Fournier, viola da gamba; and Marcia Kravis, harpsichord, guest musicians are invited on a regular basis to explore the extensive, varied repertoire of Baroque chamber music. During the <http://www.bernardinia.org/2010-11>2010-2011 Concert Series the ensemble is joined by Rebecca Harris, baroque violin. The group's name itself refers to the title of a piece by Italian composer Girolamo Frescobaldi that La Bernardinia performed on their debut program.
