The attached message sounds like a task-oppurtunity for the super
neighbors of the 4800 block of Windsor.
Prejudices being what they are, it may be hard for a scholar from Haiti
to find short term housing, but the Windsor Avenue neighbors have already
demonstrated a willingness to practice both
        French and
        kindness to strangers.
These scholars are willing to pay modest sums for their housing, but with
Alumni weeks and graduations can't even find cheap hotels.

This is not an "Ad" and I will not get any commission.

I believe that diplomacy, through shared housing, improves the world, but
I do not have any spare beds this week.

Please contact our neighbor, Molly, if you can help.

Subject: RE: Housing for Hubert Humphrey International Fellows

Dear Liz,

I am no longer on the UC list.
Do you think you could forward this for me?

Dear Neighbors,

Three international Humphrey Fellows will be doing professional
internships with my organization this month and the housing they arranged
has fallen through. If anyone has a furnished apartment, sublet, or room
to let, please let me know. The fellows are mid-career professionals
(school principals, etc.) from Swaziland, Guinea, and Haiti. One woman
and two men. They could split up for individual accommodations or share
something larger. Two will be in town through June 7, 2007 and one will
be staying through June 14, 2007. They are in need of something
beginning immediately. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Best,

Molly Roth

Dear Liz,

I just left a long-winded voicemail message about furnished housing for
some interns coming to work with us this month. These are Hubert
Humphrey Fellows (from Haiti, Guinea, and Swaziland) who’ve been in
residence at Penn State this year and have come to Philadelphia for a
month to do professional internships. The housing they had arranged has
fallen through. They are working with limited budgets, but would have no
problem if they could pool resources on a larger place. Let me know if
you have anything that would be available immediately. Many thanks,

Molly Roth
