Join Us for the Garden Court Community Association Membership Fair! December
10, 2014, 6:30-8:30PM, Renewal Presbyterian Church, 4633 Cedar Avenue
Find out about GCCA's happenings and events and how to get involved. Each of
our working committees will have displays and information on the work that they
are doing to make our community a great place to live.  Are you interested in:

   - Bringing support to Lea Elementary School?
   - Improving the business corridors in our community?
   - Improving public safety?
   - Planning events to bring neighbors together?
   - Supporting community greening efforts?
The GCCA Membership Fair is the place to get engaged in all of these efforts.
We will also have representation from the programs, businesses, and
organizations that make our neighborhood special, like 48th Street Grille, Take
the Lead Dance Studio, The Partnership CDC Neighborhood Advisory Committee, and
more!  So come out, get connected, meet neighbors, and enjoy tasty treats
provided by each of our committees. And if all of this isn't enough, see below
for the top 5 reasons you should become a member of GCCA.
5 Reasons Why You Should Become a Member of GCCA #1: You'll make a
difference- every person counts!
#2: Your participation will bring people together. As a member, you will
assist in uniting people from diverse backgrounds to work towards a common
goal. #3: Your engagement will represent civic responsibility. Community
service and member participation are an investment in our community and the
people who live in it.   #4: You will learn...a lot! As a volunteer, you will
learn things about yourself, your government, and your community. #5: It's good
for you. Volunteering provides physical and mental rewards. Experts report that
when you focus on something bigger than yourself, it interrupts
tension-producing patterns and makes you a healthier person. Unable to attend
on the 10th?  You may also sign up for membership at  www.gardencourtca.org or
at our Annual Holiday Tour and Stroll on Saturday, Dec. 28th.  For more
information, call 267-277-9181.
