No, I wasn't getting that senile (cranky, maybe; senile, not yet). My confusion was that there was a kick-off National Night Out at the Walmart-Home Depot parking lot on Columbus Blvd last night. But the official annual local neighborhood version on Melville street is tonight. It's 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Word has it that John Fenton will be the chief chef. So anyone who wants to thank him for a job well done in the past, wish him well for his new responsibilities in the present and future, ask him about getting the tires that someone dumped in their alley removed, and rate his culinary skills will have a chance to do so. Marty Cabry should also be on hand to get inputs from folks in the community. Councilwoman Blackwell is usually at this event, making herself very accessible to one and all. See you there.
