I just found out there are some folks organizing with UC Green to rent live trees (evergreens, firs, etc) in containers for the holidays.
You can either pick it up at the Green Line at a designated time or they can deliver it. Then, after the holidays, you give it back and they will work with UC Green to plant them in the city.
It's all the beauty and fun of the Christmas tradition and none of the guilt of killing a tree!
I think their cut off is Monday but the sooner you call the better as the holidays are almost here and their supply is going fast.
