It's thrilling that the Eakins Consort has chosen our neighborhood as a venue for their concert. I’ d like to help get the word out. It’s an intimate and very good singing ensemble. Thanks, Isabel Boston On this Friday, November 9, the Eakins Vocal Consort, Philadelphia’s new a cappella chamber choir, will present Poetic Voices, a concert of new works by Philadelphia composers to texts by Borges, Cummings, Pizarro, Sandhurst, and Tennyson. The concert will be held at St. Francis de Sales church, 47th & Springfield Ave. at 8pm. Tickets are $15 ($10 students and seniors). Come out and support this exciting new vocal ensemble and experience six premieres in one concert.
