Small landlords and working class renters are going to be hammered with the new
property tax scheme. Thiis is looking like a major victory for the
gentrification; this is a biggie.

The huge increases in the prices of single family houses here has far outpaced
the rents and incomes of long term tenants although costs have been steadily
increasing. The big corporate rental housing is much more expensive for
renters and has a higher profit percentage than small landlords renting to
working class folks.

Does anyone understand the planned increases for our neighborhood better than
I? It looks to me like they plan to triple property taxes around here for all,
whom do not get an exemption. I haven't heard of any exemption to help the
working class rental market, landlords or tenants, have you?
