Karen Allen asked a good question yesterday about whether or not inclusion on
the local register of Philadelphia historic places would show up on a title
report. This got me thinking, and I realized that I have sold houses on, for
example, the 4600 block of Hazel, which is designated - but I've never seen
mention of the designation on Hazel Avenue title reports. So I took the
question to a title clerk at SearchTec Abstract, and she has now replied:

Morning, Melani.
As far as I know, I’ve never seen anything on a title report about a
property being registered as a historic building. The only thing I’ve seen is
if
there’s one of those preservation easements that some prop. owners get so their
taxes will be reduced. Other than that, you’re right, it doesn’t come up on
title.
