Barry and zoning committee,

Thanks again for changing the meeting location to accommodate the many
neighbors we might expect to be interested in this hotel proposal. I am copying
this message to the public listserv to keep our neighbors informed.

An important issue remains, which your announcement didn't address. Let me
remind you of the 3rd BID presentation at 42nd and Baltimore by UCD to make the
point.

UCD announced that given a large expected turnout for its 3rd BID presentation,
they would follow a specific protocol for the audience members wishing to
speak. Well, UCD was exposed using this "sign-up list" as a cloak while
actually attempting to fill the program with BID supporters only. Then, the
facilitator attempted to run out the allotted time. Community members exposed
the trick and we all laughed and booed the pathetic attempt by UCD and Penn
Real Estate.

Again, I wish to implore the SHCA zoning committee to eliminate a similar
possibility. If a fair process to allow neighbors to speak is not put in place,
it will reflect badly on SHCA and the zoning committee. Please disclose, in
advance, the protocol to guarantee that ALL community members in attendance
will be allowed to speak. In my opinion, this is a very important announcement
to make to this community.

I will post your response to the public listserv for you and I suggest that you
print the protocol in the local UC Review in the Feb 13 edition, which will be
your last opportunity to reach the community. Thank you for your attention to
this additional matter.

Sincerely,

Glenn Moyer
