We had two plants stolen from our porch last week, one at night, followed by
the second that afternoon (apparently a matching pair must have been
requested), while the house was occupied.

I hate to say it, but you picked one hell of a block to live on.
Nothing like that here on the south side of Baltimore. Those apartments
on the corners of Walnut and your street should be demolished, for
starters. I do however, envy your tiny driveways and garages on that
block.
