uim-gtk2.0 is supposed to install immodules for GTK, however it does
not. Running current Edgy with uim 1:1.1.0-1.2 and uim-gtk2.0
1:1.1.0-1.2

You can "solve" the problem by disabling the accessibility support.
I and many people turn this on, because after you disabled the option
/apps/metacity/general/reduced_resources in gconf (to get rid of the -
sorry - crappy animation when you minimize/maximize windows), you only
see a wire-frame,
A sync is not enough... we have some greater changes and our tarball is
completely different to the Debian one.
Someone must merge it by hand or just add the patch to our current
package.

Yes I beleive this should definitely be a candidate for dapper-updates
Once dapper-backports is going the new version would be a good candidate
for that.

If passible to get readable GTK1 cyrillic fonts it will be nice for new
Ubuntu users. Now Audacity, GNUCash, XMMS GTK1 fonts
(https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xmms/+bug/36683) make
applications unusable out of the box thith UTF-8 locale.
