OK, this is old. Is this still a bug? Also, I am assuming that your
link is a new Makefile, since it is not diff or patch of any kind?
Thanks.

I think this bug can be closed. From what I recall, the .htoprc file is
actually generated and saved by htop every time you close the program,
and it turns out that the upstream author does not necessarily make an
attempt to ensure that newer versions of htop will be backwards
compatible with older
It doesn't work with 7.04's kernel either.
In fact Ubuntu doesn't seem to like modems much...

It seems that this bug is out of my league.
Same opinion had several MOTUs in the #ubuntu-motu channel.
So, I guess I' m leaving this to more advanced users. Sorry :)
Some info to those who will try later:
When I tried to install the package I get: Depends: scsh-0.6 but it is not
installable
Thank you for your bug report.
An elegant solution could be add just linux-image dependency
(http://packages.ubuntu.com/feisty/virtual/linux-image). Do you agree?

Ok. I ll take this bug.
It will be my first UNMETDEPS-fix and I am not sure how tough that is. I
checked some debdiff files from other UNMETDEPS and they didn't look
much work.
What's the importance level? If it is 'high' maybe I'm not the right guy
for this (newbie)
I ll do my best.
