I have kubuntu 8.04 and then I using clipboard copy in mcedit with sudo this
cause disabling clipboard for normal user.
It's because mcedit rewrite with root only permissions folder and files
.mc/cedit/cooledit.* and denying access as user.

I was completely fed up with this issue as well, but I found out that
nspluginwrapper is at a newer version 1.1.4 which I found here
http://freshmeat.net/projects/nspluginwrapper/?branch_id=75051&release_id=288070.
I installed it from source on my system and the problems went away, so
far at least.

Just saw that this bug actually pre-dates 8.04 too. My current 8.04

Daniel: I don't currently have an 8.10 machine available to test on
(might in a couple of weeks when I get my thesis finished). Could
someone else perhaps try it? Should only take a minute (open file in
xpdf, print to file, view the resulting ps file).
