I cannot reproduce your problem but I think that at least they're connected.
It seems like that the drivers locks up with top windows (as dragdrop, popup
etc).

Finailly got GDM too boot in low graphics session. Using jockey-gtk it
shows that no drivers are being used so i clicked activate and it says

Looks like Debian/Ubuntu won't see a new version until 0.9 (see Debian
bug report). Interested users can use packages directly from upstream
sources.

Yes, still broken in intrepid, I ended up doing a work around where I
use the Bluetooth udev event to bring up my wireless as my wireless
radio and bluetooth are enabled by the same hardware switch.
