When i try to install brdesktop-gnome package on my Ubuntu 8.10, it
gives me the following error:

Which version of Ubuntu are you using. The latest version of FUSA in
Jaunty should hide shutdown and reboot if Policykit says you can't
perform these actions from the current console (which I believe is the
case from a XDMCP session). The suspend and hibernate options a re a bit

Weird, as I hadn't opened any terminal window. I used the Synaptic update
manager to update Sun Java, which failed with this error. Eventually, I managed
finish the update simply by retrying it several times...
