This happens in Jaunty too.
I installed KDE4 to test it out, put KDM instead of GDM and Gnome begins
behaving weird.
1) The mentioned user switcher applet (A problem since this is the only GUI way
to log out now)

Is this really a wishlist item? I see it as a bug that needs to be

The dependency on the full zope3 service is entirely unnecessary. As it
is, our packages attach an incredible amount of bloat on Gaphor's

Mine is doing this also. It does this on my dual head laptop running
nVidia TwinView, and on a dual head desktop with an ATI card. I tried
running separate X sessions on my laptop, rather than TwinView, and that
still did not work.
Any ideas on what might be causing this or if it is able to be fix

the incorrect uuid that grub2 wrote came from my jaunty install on the
1st bootable (sdb) drive on my system , I installed grub2 from my karmic
install which is on the 3rd bootable drive on my sys (sdd) . I believe
what is happening is that grub2 is picking up the first bootable drives
uuid rather
