First, this isn't a proper fix - I'm definitely confirming this. My
setup is vmware 1.0.9 on Kubuntu 9.04 _ 64 bit 2.6.28-13 kernel -
same process as above - downloaded the zip file, applied the vmware-
update patch, and had a messy but successful compile. Then ran into
the pam thing.

pango and gtk ... both directly use cairo, so you end up having two
cairos being used - which from my debugging leads to the moz cairo not
seeing the proper XDefaults set by gtk.

kdenlive was recently updated in Debian to 0.7.5. It would probably be
better to merge this to get this latest upstream release.

Pedro, dont use ubuntuzilla. They use their own cairo which causes
theproblem. the archive packages should at least be much better.

I played a bit around and i cannot reproduce the problem for the builds
we provide for karmic. It happens with upstream builds only, which
probably happens because of a version mismatch of what mozilla builds-in
and what we have on the system. Can you confirm that you dont see any

I really appreciate the split of the doc packages. But I don't see how
my bug report is related to that.
What I am reporting is that there are still some megabytes of
documentation left in a non-documentation package. I think the fix is
simply to move these files to the appropriate doc sub-package
