After latest update of Aug 11th, grub.cfg was regenerated and the old
(and wrong) uuid number was reinstated for the Hardy partition. I had
previously manually edited the grub.cfg to reflect the correct uuid to
enable me to boot into Hardy.

I seem to have a very similar problem, although it occurs on both

After recovery mode drops to busybox shell I can then manually type:

Well the current state of PA/ALSA in combination with Rhythmbox has not
changed. It still stutters a lot when I do other tasks. Can't really
point out the main sources of the stuttering. I thought it was Skype.
Please trya new profile also please try removing swfdec-mozilla and see
if it helps

Flash player plugin in Firefox is not working
Since yesterday grub boots the first operating system without showing
the menu. (which I unfortunately set to windows)
I booted from the Karmic alpha3 CD and tried update-grub2 and it only
finds the windows partition, it doesn't even check sda8 (where my / is).
