I clicked Yes, this is the bug I'm trying to report but it didn't seem
to do anything. For me the problem was a bootable partition on my usb
drive. In this case osx86. I only had it in to pull files off the
drive, didn't really want it to make a boot option. After unplugging

Turn off desktop effects if on. That may help.

For me this is a bug because I have to use OSS4 due to driver issues.
OSS4 doesn't suspend, which means that I have to route sound through
pulseaudio to work round this. Not doing so leads to various problems.
