Had the same problem with conky staying on top of all windows. I
checked System Monitor - Processes tab and found out it was running
twice for some reason. So I killed the bottom conky and it fixed the
problem. Don't know if that's anyone elses problem, but you might want
to check out to see if

This is a confirmation that I have the same bug. I had the problem both
in an 9.04 installation of Kubuntu upgraded to 9.10 as well as in a
fresh Kubuntu 9.10 installation.

I backed up a 9.10 install ( without backing up /boot/grub ), then
restored the backup to a reiserfs partition on another machine, and
chroot into it to run grub-install /dev/sda and update-grub. After

Binary package hint: brasero
When burning a disc (audio, data, or from iso-image) I always check the
'eject after burn' option, but it never does eject. I have to use the
button on the drive to get my new disc out. The discs themselves are OK.
I'm using Ububtu 9.10 Karmic

I did not experience this with Guake 0.4.0 (compiled by myself) on
Jaunty with Compiz enabled. Could be a compiz problem of karmic.
