On Edgy I have solved with a symbolic link from /usr/share/X11/fonts to /usr/share/fonts/X11. I think this workaround is better than the '-fp' one, because in the '-fp' manner Xvnc knows only about 'misc' sub-directory, and not about the others (100dpi, 75dpi, Type1 etc.).
