only be released after we entered freeze. For the time being you can
either override the dependency check or just use 0.9.8. Once 0.9.9.1 is
out (which I expect very soon) this will be corrected.

You received this bug notification because
Can you run conky from a terminal with the -D flag and report here the output?
Also, it would help if you attach the configuration file that seems to be
causing the crash (~/conkyrc1).
Is this by any chance triggered by trying to reload the configuration file, or
after having changed it while
OK, setting to invalid then, please re-open if problem reappears (your
configuration file is a pretty standard one, the problem was likely due
to a dist-upgrade since the crash was not in conky itself).

conky assert failure:
Since we will release karmic soon I patched the source to fix this error
(there is a new API method to be used for the can_focus property since
gtkmm 2.18). I can't guarantee though that there aren't other things
like this lurking in the code, so this needs definetively to be passed
upstream.
**
I'm planning a conky bug-fix release for the coming week-end, unless
some info can be provided (as per previous comment) that would be the
deadline to get whatever needs fixing done for karmic.

Your configuration file its a pretty standard one, I can see nothing that would
cause a recurrent crash (as a matter of fact I can use it with no problem).
Can you try to manually obtain a backtrace (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace)?
This could give us some clues.
The apport message seems to
OK, marking as invalid then. Please reopen if the same issue resurface.

Add GTK2.14 compile defs to gtk_widget_get_window; useful for backports
Change minimum required libgtk version back to 2.12.0
