Well, my LCD screen is having problems with its backlight so I can't see
the fine details, but perhaps the Tahoma replacement is not as
professional as Deja Vu Sans (with anti-aliasing/hinting working in
both).
Anyway, should the ttf-tahoma-replacement package be assigned to this
bug?

Arne, thanks for the workaround, it improves the appearance of the
Tahoma substitute on my system.
Eric, ensure that you right-click on the attachment and choose "Save

I'm confirming the issue as well.
The Tahoma replacement shouldn't be register as a system font - it
should be isolated for use by Wine only.
As you can see from the example screenshots posted, the Tahoma
replacement TTF doesn't support anti-aliasing or hinting properly, and
makes font rendering
Murat,
That seems more appropriate, thanks for the suggestion. I've posted the

Bug #391847 should probably get marked as a duplicate (or invalidated)

Binary package hint: grdc
I propose that for the GNOME release of Karmic, Grdc Remote Desktop

vinagre applications.

I also highly recommend this proposal.
The p7zip archive resides in the universe repository, but I don't see
any problems with it getting moved to main - 7z is based on the LZMA
algorithm which has no patent encumbrances (it's the p7zip-full archive
that would be inappropriate for main, as it incl

I suggest that for the upcoming Karmic release, we include p7zip-full in
the ubuntu-restricted-extras metapackage.
Justification:

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
I would like to propose that we set a more conservative value for the
shadow_radius in compiz. The crux of my argument would be that the
shadows look too pronounced - however, this would then relegate the
report outside the realm of being a bug.

Bryce & others,
It seems this issue is relevant to many (if not all?) Intel chipset
users. I have access to three systems with integrated graphics - a
900GMA desktop, 865G desktop and 855GM laptop - and none of these
systems setup write-combining MTRR ranges properly.

I can confirm this on a DELL Inspiron 510m laptop & Jaunty, with all the
latest updates. The most notable problem I experience is stuttering

and other media players.

saksoook,
Intrepid uses PulseAudio by default, and Flash 9 isn't PulseAudio-
compatible (if Flash tries to open an audio stream, Firefox will
freeze). The only workaround is to install libflashsupport at the cost
of extreme instability. See bug #192888.
