Here's the thing with the filetype associations - if I change ClamTk to
be associated with ALL filetypes, it will - and I get nasty emails over
it. Not to mention, the Debian maintainer will add a patch to remove all
associations except for MS filetypes, so it probably won't reach most
Ubuntu
That is probably because you chose system wide (Administrador de
Sistema) updates rather than single user (Usuario Simple) updates when
you first started ClamTk.
You have a choice:
1. Wait one or two days until ClamTk 4.18 comes out which, among other
things, offers a very easy point and click
ClamTk 4.16 is available upstream and ClamAV 0.95.2 is available in
Debian volatile.
Updating ClamTk from the Update dialogue would be too difficult because
different distros put the files in different places. A possible fix
would be to store everything locally like the signatures can be, but
This should be in version 4.17.

Not sure if this information is useful but... I continued to play with
Audacity and Pulseaudio. I turned off Software Playthrough and that
did not fix the problem. It still only worked at 96Khz and 48Khz. I
installed PulseAudio Device Chooser. I took a look at the sinks and

You're right, but I did that on purpose - because no one knows what a
ClamTk is. :) gEdit shows up as Text Editor and XMMS uses Audio
Player. ClamTk is not very descriptive for those not familiar with
ClamAV or new to Linux.
If enough people really want it changed, I'll do it, but I'd just as
Hello. Original reporter here.
Sorry for not responding.
Problem was solved by reverting the xorg driver as suggested by Eddie
Padilla above.
The trick to getting around the startx command problems that I had
reported earlier was to use ctrl+alt+F7 instead. For whatever reason,
that worked.
This was fixed in 4.10, and 4.13 is available from the upstream website.

Eddie,
Thanks for responding.
After booting the live CD and reverting the Xorg intel driver, I can't
get X to come back up.
I try the exit and logout commands, and it just keeps coming back to a
prompt that says:

No matter how long I wait, I don't get any autologin.

I have seen other bugs reported about intel video drivers and Jaunty,
however, all of them seem to be performance issues such as slow

In my case, the problem is so severe that Jaunty is completely

Not working for me on Jaunty or Intrepid using ClamTk 4.11.
Intrepid is already running ClamAV 0.95.1 - I haven't been able to test
it with the exact version mentioned here because of updates. Here are
the apparmor error messages:

This is no longer needed as of the 4.x series, since users can now
