It is to save changes in the iPod, if the eject option is not used the
DB and files remain unchanged.

The eject starts a save and then closes the files in the iPod, unlike
save that keeps file descriptors open.

The bug is in KVM after all, I found out that PAE is needed for 32-bit
kernels for supporting the NX flag, this makes things work perfectly
with no added flags in the server variant of the kernel. (and on 64
bit kernels)

Rhythmbox uses GStreamer, I assume this is how it handles m4a, but GStreamer's
API is very complicated and I can't re-implement all of the MP4 code in gtkpod
to use it.
In the devel list there have been talks about making the mpeg4ip discovery
dynamic, to avoid two packages.

This behavior has been changed in 0.99.14.
In addition, there are known issues with the id3 library used in gtkpod, we're
