By workaround I of course mean a patch was applied to the human-theme
package. This occurred with human-theme 0.18, as you will be able to see
if you read the above comments. This did fix the issue in Hardy, and
many users, including myself, verified this.

With me-tv 0.5.33-3, the mute function applied only to me-tv. This
allowed me to, for example, listen to music during commercial breaks.
With the upgrade to me-tv 0.7.14-1, mute is applied globally. Now my
only choices are to listen to the tv mixed
A workaround was provided in human-theme for Hardy. Please read the
comments above which discuss this issue. Make sure you're not seeing bug
186382, or some other titlebar corruption bug.

Titlebar incorrectly drawn with geforce 5/6/7, compiz and human-theme
Adding that line did indeed fix the problem, thanks. This should be the
default setting in me-tv, reopening.
This is an issue that occurs in me-tv 0.7.14-1, but not 0.5.33-3, so is
a regression in me-tv functionality. Having a mute button that doesn't
actually mute the program isn't very useful.

The bug was closed because the issue hasn't been reproduced in brasero
0.9.0. I am running Jaunty and cannot reproduce the issue. If you could
try testing with Jaunty again it would be much appreciated. Perhaps you
