Many mkv files apparently have mimetype video/x-mkv and not
video/x-matroska. To solve this a line is needed under the mimetype-
contenttype stanza:
treat mimetype=video/x-mkv as=mkv/
By having this line in the default stanza it will great end confusion on why
some cannot

Binary package hint: blueman
When using blueman to connect a bluetooth mouse for the first time while
under 9.10 alpha 3. I am unable to get blueman to fully connect the
mouse. It stays stuck in searching, but never pairs with the mouse.

Ok this chipset/graphics combination is supported by the intel driver in
Jaunty (9.04). Checking the Intel driver I found:

This chip is not supported in version xserver-xorg-

This looks lot be a newer version of the Intel 4500 chip. The chip id
may not be in the driver. Could you try out the Jaunty live CD .. you don't
need to install it , you can see if comes up with the proper resolution in the
Live Session.
If that works it better helps
Which Intel graphics card is on this board? Can you post the output of
sudo lspci -vnn ?

I read the logs. The reason you are seeing this is that the machine is
using the Vesa video driver and not the intel video driver. The revision of
the intel chip may not be in the database of supported intel chips in 8.10.
Could you try out a Jaunty Live CD and see if you get the
