I have turned Desktop Effects off and am still seeing relatively high Xorg CPU
usage - between
%CPU 3 - %CPU 10. On average (watching 'top' for about 5 minutes) it moves
around the %CPU 5-9 mark.

On my wife's Dell Vostro laptop (a very similar system to my Inspiron) running
Hardy, her Xorg
via 'top' shows an average of %CPU 1. So there must be something amiss.
Should I open a separate bug report (without reference to Desktop Effects)?

Blessings,

Nigel
